Hello all, getting ready to instal some new ball joints in my 75 Scout ll. Looking at the heavy duty synergy ball joints. Problem is my Scout was built in January 75 and came with a Dana 30 not 44 (also came with a 196 so they May have had a few 30s left over and firgured the small axle would be ok with the small motor). I'm going by the line card I got, and a post I saw that says the pumpkin tells the story. Made a copy of the picture of the 30 cover and held it up to my front cover and they match. Anyway question is do the Dana 44s and 30s use the same ball joints in the scouts? Guy at synergy says they look like the ball joints in a 44 when I sent him a picture. Ball joints are pressed into knuckles and bolt into axle "c"s. Bottom joints have snap rings installed outboard, top ones don't.
