auto shift cable

Mayben says I need to stay away from used cables, but I have always been a bit of a rebel.:dita: if you got one that is servicable I will take it. Send me a pm if you locate it.

Thanks!

You, terry, and mayben seem to keep my fleet running.

Monte just gits bored and luvs doin' shit over and over agin...

But...for the record...the only trouble pink's tranny has exhibited since building is causea monte's cheepazz ways with boneyard crap!

I told him a few minutes ago to just leave the hump off pink and clamp visegrips on the shift arm, or rig a coat hanger for a push/pull shifter.

Just order a new cable from scoutparts.... $68.95. :dita:

or order a new one from Jeff for $52.95.

Seriously - get a new one.

Monte, they just don't understand as fathers of large broods that we need to get the full life span out of everything we can. New things are for the people that have time to actually take vacations :sosp:

Amen drew! As the father of 5 almost 6 kids, I never get time off. If I get away for awhile, I pull double duty later. I have to be cheap to feed all of those hungry mouths. It is truly amazing I have enough time or money to touch my scouts at all.:dita: it also pays to have a very understanding wife!

It also pays ta keep it in yore pants or git cut when yore 17???

But then you scruuhaids keep breedin' more junkiron so I guess sum folks never learn guud.

Here's a cheery thought for ya!

If ya think it gets better when they get older and move away, think again.
You'll spend your free time and money helping them survive.:icon_eek:
the amount of money they will need/ask for is directly proportional to their age. I think there is a formula somewhere for this.:dita: or just add a few zeros to what it costs ya now :icon_eek:

We were here bubba!

But even if me and terry write all this rules and shit down for you kidz, yawl still wouldn't pay no tenshun!

And obviously me an terry didn't pay no tenshun neither.

Problem solved! A new Cable is on the way. My sister in law said she needed hubs installed on her ramcharger and wanted to know how much I would charge her to do the job. I said I would do it for free, but she wouldn't hear of it. We argued about it for awhile and eventually we agreed on a new shifter cable.:dita:

I love the barter system.

Is that the same ramcharger we pulled out of the trees on the last wheeling trip?...

And I hope she snaked ya a Scout II cable, not sum kinda chrysler schnizz!

Shit dude, yore the bubba what rigs a dam ratchet strap for a 4low detent...what's wrong with a coat hanger and vise grips for a shifter?? Granted today's coat hangers ain't worth shit for even hangin' yore drawers...but I got sum oldskool coat hangers I'm keepin' for just such occasions.

It is funny you mention the coat hanger. I spent some time looking for an old school coat hanger and couldn't find one. I asked maranda and she said to ask you for one. She said you "was old" and probably had a hidden stash someplace.:dita:

my ratchet strap setup is a very complex piece of engineering and plays a very crucial part in pink's overall performance.:dita:

as far as the shifter cable goes, it was ordered from Jeff this morning.

Ok Mike I finally got around to installing the "new" shifter cable this weekend. It is probably the only new part on pink. :ciappa:

The next question..."does the tranny still actually work"???

Once momma starts whelpin', she needs ta go to the vet in pink. And Scout needs ta come home in pink!

Oh yeah...before "Scout" goes on the litter registration papers...make sure ya got "license" from International Harvester intellectual properties" ta use it...don't want no surprises when a social security number is issued!

He won't be the first 'Scout'. Cindy from binder books has a son named Scout --- we think he is a 6th grader in sherwood -- amber sees cindy and the stepdad with Scout all the time.

So the precident has been set -- it can be done.

I think I am going to legally change all the kids' names. Six kids makes it hard to name them all Scout so here is what I will do:

Scout
Scout II
Scout 80
Scout 800
Scout 810
Scout terra
