Are they compatible?

I am looking to put Dana 44's on my 72 Scout II. Currently have the stock 30. I have come across a ton of Chevy and Ford Dana 44's for great prices in equally as nice shape. Are any of these compatible? I'm on a very tight budget and purchasing an IH Dana 44 set is way out of my price range right now. Any information is greatly appreciated.

The only axle that will bolt in is an IH Dana 44. If you are on a tight budget the last thing you should start is an axle swap - they tend to grow once you start adding up all the brake parts and new u-joints, ball joints, gears, etc....
