Aluminum valve cover tapped hole

What is the thread type and pitch of the hole that is tapped in the aluminum valve covers? Seems like it might be 1/2-13, but want to make sure in case it is an NPT thread.

Hello,

The valve covers use the same size threads are the original valve cover. They are 1/4" N.P.T.
 
Because I cannot leave well enough alone, would you mind telling me the thread type and pitch of the hole for the oil cap on the aluminum cover.
