All American Truck Show Redwood City

Ok eric. The new two speed diff should be functional by then. I'll put a couple of one cylinder engines on the bed for decoration.

*** for those who plan to attend the show***

dave perez and I will be going to the show early in order to reserve an area for the babs attendees. If you know you are going to come, post up so we can have a basic count on trucks ensuring we have space for all.

The flyer / registration form is attached and registering the day of the event should not be a problem for anyone (plenty of room for all).

My apologies for not having posted earlier. Several of you May recall I was able to coordinate the babs attendees allowing for a "club" discount last year. This year I have just not had the bandwidth to pull it together.

Cheers,
cheese

hey scooter if you still need a ride when the time comes I'm about half a mile from the fremont bart station. You can just give me a call when you get there, or hoof it straight down walnut. Let me know.

I probably would need a ride. Don't think I would be able to get my 73 beast drivable by then. I'm currently in the middle of replacing the rear floor from under the rear bench seat to the tail gate, along with a gas tank swap and building a roll cage, just to name a few things I'm working on. Seeing that it seems that I don't have your number, a pm will be sent.

Already sent in registration, so definitely plan on being there. Is there food there or is it byo?

Yes, as doc mentioned there should be basic food vendors there (e.g. Hot dogs, burgers, that sort of thing). You can also bring already prepared food if you prefer (e.g. Sandwich, burrito, etc.) what you cannot do is bbq on site which was what we had hoped to do last year, but were politely told we could not. Therefore, there will be no babs sponsored hot dog lunch at this event. ;-)

Appologies, but I won't be able to make this. My parents need help down south. I hope you have fun at the event.

My Dad will be there with a 1941 International k6 that I helped to restore. It is red and black with a big dump bed and should be parked near our 1957 Ford ranchero. I am sure he would appreciate it if any of you gurus went and talked to him about it.

Unfortunately, I am stuck in san diego with finals coming up. :(

this is the ranchero

There is almost no way I can get the truck ready for the show due to life. I am going to attend sans truck. Look forward to meeting some of you and checking out the International only section.

As it turns out I was down and out with the flu so unable to attend.

From what I heard it was a relatively small show overall and probably around 8 internationals. The weather was questionable which May have kept a few people away. I heard there was lots of chit chat and eating going on and despite being a smaller show it sounds like there were still plenty of cool rides to check out. I also heard there was an auction and some of the babs folks won some swag.

Cheers,
cheese
