Looking for advice on stabbing the new distributor I got with my afi kit. Followed the instructions on the ingntion tech thread and not sure if I have the rotor lined up correctly with the base. Knowing there is a notch in the Holley distributor cap, which terminal is #8? How important is it to get the pinwheel lined up with the sensor? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you followed the basic intructions then you should have the motor on tdc of the #8 cylinder.
It needs to be on the compression stroke and not the exhaust stroke.
If so then where ever the rotor is pointing is now #8.
If you still have the old cap and wires installed then you can always pull it and turn it to point to your #8 wire.
When set the reluctor should line up with the pickup and rotor should be just off center of the cap terminal.
