Advance Adapter

Has anyone use the GM to torqueflite advance adapter? I know it was designed for scouts but I called IH parts and was told that it will work on any torqueflite that was used with a 345.

I want to use it on my 1974 d100 step side and keep the torqueflite, steering column, not change the trans mount and driveline... But only if it is actually going to do the job.

Thanks,

dave

It will work with any IH application tf 727 case. The difference between Scout II 4x4 and pick-all configuration is at the ass end of things...the output shafts and tail-housings. The adapter goes at the front end/bell housing portion which is the same across the board.

Trever,

thanks for the input. Have you heard of any issues with this setup after the install?

It seems pretty straight forward. My initial measurements show that the motor mounts should line up with the front cross member without an issues that would require moving the trans cross member.
