8th Annual 2014 IH Sierra Fall Rallye

any updates on the mild off road trip on Friday??

This year there will be a street tour to coloma. I hope to have maps ready by end of the week along with some information about the run.

I will be in williams CA visiting my family this same weekend and am going to make a point to attend one day of the show, any advice is appreciated.

Dirk

if I was only going to be there one day, I would try and make it Saturday.

Yes Saturday is the main day. Not a lot going on Friday as most are out on the trail or street tour. Sunday we have breakfast followed by awards and then pack up and head to IHPA for those needing any last minute parts or want to see the shop while in the vicinity.

In regards to an off road run, I am looking at us possibly doing a run to the sierra buttes, 1.5 hours from Grass Valley, and the off road portion wont be too long, but its a scenic drive and some roaming and great views. Dose this interest anyone or should we do something closer to the fair grounds? Pretty much anything we do will be about a hour away from Grass Valley... Making the trip an all day event. Feel free to email me with any questions too, girlinascout@gmail.com

I really enjoyed seeing some scouts in the camp grounds! I'm sure it was a common sight years ago!

It was a lot of fun. Cooked 142 hotdogs and they were all gobbled up:d

I was in charge of the slow crawl asked a million questions to each driver, but in the end if your idle was super low that helped a lot.

Couple pics.

Crossing the river on fordyce,.

Ran into this at 20 mph while on the trail.. We both had our tires locked up. Those in the group without a radio need to change there underwear after the encounter.

Another IHSFR has been successfully completed. Attendance was way up having the show in Grass Valley. I hope all who were there really enjoyed themselves. With this first year winding down we know a lot more and will take what we learned to make next year even better. Thank you to all who participated and helped out with the event. Once I get all caught up at the office I will post up results of the judging. For now here are some of the pictures that I took during the weekend.

well since you ask. .. :icon_mrgreen:
can you tell me what #23 monte lauer scored?[/quote ]

no I can't because I'm not the guy that scored them and honestly without googling it I don't even know the formula . michael was just bringing me up to speed on things as I was not there at the games and I guess whichever judge tallied up the sheet messed up on monte's calculation . I was handed a sheet all filled out with who was 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and that's what I went with . unfortunately I don't have the time during the day to double check all these numbers . as it was I didn't get done with finishing up judging until 9:00 that night . sorry guys but we messed up . I'll get the results corrected.

We of all people understand that Jeff. We have put on a show and getting people to volunteer there time is tough. Please don't make us do it next year because we were busting your chops about this. :hand:
bottom line is we all had great time. I like the new venue.

I don't think monte is real concerned about his certificate. Hell unless it's in braille he won't be able to read in anyway. :d
