'76 Traveler

Seems like these IH rigs are always a 'project' but damn if they ain't addictive.

Sorry for the radio silence guys. I had enough of ol' smurfette. (see http://forums.IHPartsAmerica.com/engine-cooling-mobile-hvac-tech/9495-chipped-intake-what-do.html)
...sold her and moved from ga back out west to wa state. Been on the cl hunt for another IH since October.

So last week I picked up this new-to-me '76 traveler for a cool $750 here locally. Runs & drives good, and in fact is complete and quite original in most every way. She's seen some action for sure, but rust is surprisingly limited/acceptable and overall she's mechanically sorted. We're already using it as a moving van as we get settled in our new place.

This is a lousy pic I know, but the only one I have so far. I'll snap some more when/if we ever get a clear day.

Callin' this one hefty smurf.

Well smurf me running! You are one lucky mothersmurfer! Welcome to the looney left coast...back I guess. I think you were out here before, or it could be early onset alzheimers. Too bad about smurfette. Sometimes you've gotta smurf your losses and smurf over again. Sounds like hefty will be less of a basketcase for you.
