74 Scout11 My Build So Far

Thanks deal.. It's been a fun project and taken a year and a half, so far!!! There's aways more improvements on the wish list, but in time, in time.

The pics came out a little bright, it's hard to see the metalic pearl paint.

Wow!:icon_rotate: that is a beautiful machine with or without a top. Anyone would be proud to drive that Scout. You are indeed a craftsman.

I have to brag a little, I went on a cruse with a fine 68 cutlass and there was 1 guy taking pictures of the Scout and not the cutlass:cornut:

Well the winch bumper is finally done. Here is the test fit pictures. It will be painted black, I have the hard top just about ready for primer so the bumper will be done at the same time.
By the way this is the hf winch (10,000lbs pull) and it works!!!

You might recognize the design, from ebay, with a few mods for personal preference.

Here we go with some paint on the bumper. I also installed my fog lights, I know for all you rock crawlers they are mounted below the bumper! But they are protected with 3/16x2" strap steel. Lol

Hi everybody; I know you think you've seen this before, but some changes have been made. It's a little early for the hard top but I just but on a nice coat of jet black paint (not rustoleum the good stuff) so I had to see how it looked. Also got my rear bumper installed heavy duty!! Here are a few pics.

Other than some possible mechanical upgrades I would just about call this one finished, if there is such a thing.
Oh yea I almost forgot. I re-enforced the area under the rack "feet" so now I can put my kayak rack on and go anywhere!!

Thanks dealbreaker74, it's been a challenging project for my first attempt! I wish you could see it inperson, the camera just does not show the metallic/pearl paint very well. But then if you did you would see the mistakes too:icon_wink:
