73 Travelall 35,000 original miles

Would love to find out where this came from. All original 392, 4x4, a/c Travelall 35,000 miles . Picked up in Wisconsin and all I know is he said came from California. Has some rust on floor pans from a leaky windshield I’m guessing, and rear wheel well lip has been repaired on both sides.

Built there right ? I get that , but was told bought in California , and spent its beginning years there , shipped to Wisconsin, then I bought it and now it’s in southern Iowa. I didn’t know if anyone knew a way to locate purchases through vin # or ? Just was hoping I could learn some history about it. Obviously it sat for most it’s life somewhere .
 
Barring documentation found inside the vehicle or first hand knowledge passed directly from one owner to next, you're basically SOL. There's no VIN related historical ownership database that would be accessible to the general public.
