73 1110 axle problem

I just picked up a cherry 73 IH 1110 shortbed stepside and I have some interesting axle problems. The end of the pass. Side theres the "spindle" that the shaft feeds thru, it sheered off the base plate is this normal? Ive never had a half ton IH, my 3/4 ton never did it or my 1 ton. Anyone have any advice here or ever had that happen before? Id like to get it together so I can take it to the trails but the wheel thrys to come off every 10 feet so..... I dunno where to find that part either unfourtunatly im on the central coast of cali,, nothin but pismo prerunners here. Any advice is greatly appreciated I also have a 1970 jeepster commando I need axles for please let me know

Is the spindle in two pieces? Or are the bolts that hold the spindle to the knuckle sheared?

Maybe take a picture so we can see what your talking about.
