727 replaces BW 11 in '66 T'ette 1200

The bw 11 auto transmission in my '66 travelette (2x4) has finally died. Mm is building a stout 727 for me to replace it. I understand that I will have to install a kickdown cable, which a lokar unit will be used and I will also use a lokar tranny-mounted shift lever. (p/n tbd)

I have a donor flexplate and torque converter ready to go from a 727-installed 392 (the t'ette has a 304).

And I'll need a tranny cooler and t'stat too. No worries on that.

Will a '69-'73 model tranny mount work? Or do I need to fabricate one. I understand too that the front half of the rear driveshaft will have to be legthened/shortened also. I will determine exact measurements once the 727 is bolted in. Have I missed anything?

I have searched on the bb and have waded through a lot of information, but nothing on this specific application. I know it has been accomplished though and maybe I just missed it.

I appreciate any input you May have on this installation.

I haven't done a swap on a pickup/Travelall but I have in a Scout. The tranny should use the same mounts as the bw tranny. My only question is why are you using a lokar kickdown cable instead of the factory kickdown rod?

good question...I have a rod and an oem throttle bracket...maybe the mm influence? I do not have the 5/16" throttle rod clip needed for where the rod enters the kickdown lever.

I thank you!
