Seller's front man told me b4 sale it was an issue dealt with by forcing in one of the release's 2 teeth, but it's not working for me...With the hood slightly popped open, I can press down on the lower tooth & then see the 2 teeth as seen in the Binder Boneyard eBay ad pic for this part posted below, but can't open the hood more than an 1/4-1/2 inch or so nor can I see anything below the allegedly offending teeth that either one of them are obstructing. I'm clearly missing the basic picture re how this contraption is supposed to work - the vertical pull gives up a partial release of the hood, but it's not giving me a release adequate to raise the hood nor even reach in & fiddle with anything else - is there a second maneuver required after pulling down on the pull? Or some known issue? Anyone?
