71 Travelall

Hi everyone,
new to this forum and to internationals. I am helping a buddy with his 71 IH Travelall 1110. Its 4x4 with a divorced NP205. His 345 is wasted and he has a sbc 350 that is built that we would like to drop in her. The current trans is the stock 4 spd with the granny. We definately would like to keep it a manual trans. Anyone know what trans came stock in this model? We are thinking of going with an sm465. Anyone on here done this swap before?

A 1971 should have a t98 transmission. We do offer a adapter kit to go from this transmission to a sbc. Cost is roughly $475. A motor mount conversion kit for a small block GM is $122. I've done the conversion before and have also done a sbc swap with a sm465. If going with a sm465 swapping in a GM crossmember out of a 69'-72'(maybe other years, not too positive on GM stuff) makes the swap much easier as the crossmember will now match the GM bell housing.
