67 Travelall automatic overdrive swap

Hi all,

I just returned from an 800 mile trip to the Nationals with my all stock 67 Travelall. I want to upgrade? to an overdrive automatic!! 800 miles at 55 MPH was a chore! I would assume that a GM overdrive is the easiest/most common swap? Do any of you have experience with such a swap that you would be willing to share? Thanks in advance, Seabee.
 
Thanks guys for the replies! I would hopefully keep the divorced IH transfercase and use a 2WD transmission (if there's room). Drive shaft mods have gotten EXPENSIVE!!! Better one shaft than two!
