60's 4cyl with Turbo

Turbocharged 152 was an available option for a few production years on the Scout platform in that era.

Many small displacement engines in the so-called ""compact" car platforms from that era outta deetroit had exhaust driven huffers available.

Here's a "piece" of the intake system from a 152 turbo app. This stuff (two semi-complete sets) was obtained locally by ihon member drew merrick inna trade and is now in the collection of carl and lyle wiese.

Well he is willing to part with some parts if anyone is interested. I told him I have never heard of it but you all would.

Carl or lyle might be interested in the parts??

So many of these kinds of components were simply thrown out behind the shop or tossed inna scrap pile. Then rain and exposure took it's toll. The actual turbo that carl has is really rotten and I don't see it being usable in any form even in the hands of a master machinist!

But this stuff does have a following amongst Scout 80/800 folks. Mike Ismail/IH only picked up some partial homebrew 152 turbo stuff at Binder Bee a few years back but only wanted a few of the pieces, he left the rest of it here at our place so he didn't have to lug more scrap south!
