5/8" Heavy Duty Ubolt Set

The 5/8" ubolts I stock will not fit your 62' Scout with Dana 27 axles. If it has a Dana 44 rear then they will work for the rear but drilling the Ubolt plates will be required in order to fit the larger diameter ubolts.

What about using these ubolts on the stock Dana 30 front end? I measured with my caliper and it seemed the tube diameter was closer to 2.50" rather than 2.75". I have the d30 in my '71 800B. The "stock" ubolts are pretty beat up, so I want new replacements. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Matt,

sorry to take so long to get back with you. I stock 7/16" ubolts for the Dana 27 and 30 front axles as well as the Dana 27 rear. I can get the front Dana 30 ubolts in 5/8" on the pumpkin side but I don't see a 5/8" Ubolt for a 2.5" axle tube. Although not highly recommended you can use the larger 2 3/4" ubolts like for a Dana 44 on a Dana 30 but again its not the best way.

5/8" ubolts are over kill for any Scout, 9/16 will hold in any axle you could put in there, and you can get ubolts custom bent to for any axle dia. (round top) or spring width (square top) and several specific bends as well (real truck stuff).

Thanks for getting back to my question, Jeff. I just didnt see the Dana 30 specific u-bolts on the website. I will be calling you to place an order for new u-bolts. Thanks again

Thanks for your opinion.
