40 year scout owner

I have owned my 69 800 A for over 40 years. I need the engine rebuilt but don't know where to take it. It was rebuilt at 100000. But that was 35 years ago. It now leaks oil and has had the knocking noise for over 30 years. I have replaced the lifters, push rods but still ticking. It does have low oil pressure. The nocking calms down after warm up but does not go away. The motor now has 140K miles on it. 35 k with the knocking noise.

I live in so cal and the scout is in Bullhead city AZ. It is very drivable but would tow it to the shop if too far away.

I want to get this done before I retire.

Any ideas.

Would 5k cover it?

Any recommendations on rebuild shops? I want to take it to someone who is familiar with IH engines. Specifically the 304.

There was a time that I knew all of the good machine shops. Not anymore though. I have always done all of my own rebuilds. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
