345 to straight 6 swap

From what I understand... As long as I have the chev bell housing... I can keep the rest of the running gear. But if im gonna end up having to change the r unning gear... Might as well go with my original plan of straight 6. If I drop a sbc in should be the simplest swap ... Just leave running gear alone. Then I heard some one say that the drive shafts on the internationals snap under the power... I wont say I believe him... Or that there is any validity to that statement... And upon doing a lil more forum research... I havent heard of such problems... So its not really a concern.

Do a ball park estimate of whatever you decide, and figure out about how much gas that would buy. You could stuff a 4 or 6bt in there and probably get around 30 mpg, but never pay for the conversion with what you save on fuel.
