I have a old 345 that runs ok, I'm resealing it soon, I think it's leaking out around the front and rear main, are there a few tricks to help it from not leaking after or to put the seals in to make them last? Thanks!!!

The first thing is to check if you have grooved out the crank where the seal rides.

If you do you have 2 choices

1. Speedi-sleeve

2. Put you seal in a little shallower (like on or two thousand's)

I much prefer the option 1. But in any case you need to lightly put some grease on the lip of the seal before you install them.

Unless you have the engine out or at least dropped the transmission you will not be able to change the rear seal. It is a one piece seal and need to slide on the crank
