345 Rebuild

I want to pick up a Flex Hone and do a very minor glaze break in the cylinders before I put the pistons back in for final measurement. What I see available is 3-3/4 or 4-1/8. With a bore of 3-7/8 will the 4-1/8 be ok?

I've only used the spring loaded stone type honers in the past vs the flex hone brush style.

Thought I'd check.

Also, what grit would be recommended? Available are: 120/180/240/.

Thanks!

That should be OK from a diameter perspective. The hone is designed to work in a 4-1/8 bore so it is bigger than 4-1/8.

I would use the 240 for the finish hone.
