304 Vacuum or other problem

Fellow IH Members,

I have 72 Scout with the 304 engine. I've noticed lately I'm starting to see some oil around the EGR Cap Plate, Spark Resistor port. below the Drivers side Valve Cover and behind the Valley Pan on the tranny tunnel below where the PVC valve is located.

My question is could a Vacuum issue be causing the odd leak locations of is it just valve Cover and manifold gaskets that need replacing or something else all together?

I'd appreciate any and all assistance.

Have you verified function of your PCV and EGR valves? There could be excess pressure building up inside the crankcase looking for easy places to escape...aka blow-by. How many miles on this engine? Have you tested compression lately?

Agreed ScoutBoy, I had a 345 blowing oil out of the dipstick under load because the PCV and Flame Arrester were plugged.
