I picked up a all stock 1963 Scout,it has an electric over drive.I was wondering if it was stock or ad on,like a gearvender.it has sat for more then 20 yrs.the switch matches the rest..any help would be great.it this is not the right place to ask,I apoagize..

The oem only installed one od unit from my experience. That was a warn gear od that mounted on the pto pad of the transfer case.. It was shifted via a manual lever.
Beyond that there are others so if you could post a photo of the unit you are talking about I'm sure we could id it foy you.

Ok...I got the drive train out...the over drive is cable activated, just as you said...there is a spacer between the od unit and tcase...it has an electric silonoid on the side of it that locks up a disk in it...it was hooked up to a momentary switch on the dash next to the pto knob, there is a sticker under the switch with directions on how to work it but it is badly worn, cant make it out...im just now figuring out the pic thing...any help on id'n this thing and were to get the parts to rebiuld it would be great,thanks....
