I rebuilt the carb last week on a 74 S2 345
Carb 2210
used a 5668 kit from IHN
I wondered about the differences in the power valve See pic. I used the new one from the rebuild kit
I started it yesterday
Running smooth at idle
20” vac manifold
About 900 rpm curb idle
About 1800 fast idle
Choke seems to be working fine
Took it for a ride. Lots of hesitation on acceleration

I'd be inclined to look at the accelerator pump circuit. Specifically the ball on the check valve.

took apart the carb again, checked float assembly, found the needle not smooth or sticking in the new brass seat, there seemed to be a burr in the casting. polished it up, it is moving good now, up and down.
Pulled the vacuum power piston, cleaned real good, re installed and staked. There was some kind of cir clip caught up in the spring, removed.
Removed the power valve again and cleaned.
Re-installed carb, it started up a little rough, but then smoothed out.
Took it for a ride, much much better. Drove it around town, no hesitation, , I did stall once on acceleration, but much improved.
