we’re going to try something new this year on Friday night . . .
“talking IH at the yurt”


For about an hour Friday night, Jeff Ismail, John Glancy [president of Scout light line], plus a few other guest speakers, will lead an impromptu Talk on IH happenings. This is not a “how do I fix my truck” kind of talk, but more of IH’s past, present and future. Even though it’s a low key gathering, it will be informative.

We’ll get together at the yurt by 7:00. The yurt is located in the middle of the campground, next to the showers.
There will be a few munchies to munch on. Byodrink.

Afterwards you can retreat to your campfire or if your still amped, hangout at the yurt for a game of poker. Cards and poker chips will be available.

I would like to get a head count. Please post up if you are interested in joining in.

If you arrive after 5pm to lake francis either Thursday or Friday nights, you can find your camping spot on the “late arrival list”. The list will be posted on the office door and the bulletin board as you enter the campgrounds. A map of the campgrounds will also be posted.

after you register and get your truck ready to be judged, bill from hamilton fuel injection will give a live efi demonstration Saturday morning on the beach at 10:30.

For each event the kid’s participate in, they get a raffle ticket. They accumulate the tickets as they go from event to event. The kid’s raffle drum will stay with the group so they can make a deposit at each location. “events” include:
1- just showing up
2- coloring contest
3- pumpkin carving
4- helping to clean up from the pumpkin carving
5- walking to the yurt and identifying “things” along the way
6- ice cream social

just a quickie.

I had a great time. A very special thank you to everybody who was able to attend. You made for another successful Sierra Fall Rallye.

I’ll post up the award winners and a few details soon, but for now I hope a few who attended will post up a few words and especially some photos.

By a vast majority of the Sunday morning breakfast crowd, they liked Saturday on the beach. So it looks like we’re headed back to the beach for the 6th annual rallye.

Feels strange not going to the rallye this year.... With any luck, we will be in attendance next year. I hope things went well and all had a good time. Since I could not be there, I had a beer while I gazed at my rusting super m and cadet sitting in my side lot.

Had a great time at the IH fall rally!! Made some new friends and saw some really cool IH rigs!! On top of that, I had no idea lake francis resort was such a gem and we're already looking forward to next years get together... = )≈
