2010 Mud Drag Events

so maranda made a last minute decision and we will be racing at the washington county fair mud drags. We have never run in one of the wgas events before, the rules are different and we May be racing in a open class because of our modifications. Wish us luck.

July 31, washington county fairgrounds. washington county fair - motorsports events

It looks like we can stay out of the the modified and open class if we make the Scout appear street legal. So I will reinstal the exterior lights and mount a license plate. The lack of a windshield May prove a problem, but law states you have to have wipers not a windshield. :ciappa:

Applications are available online: newport mud drags

Well I will have to think long and hard before we ever enter another event sponsored by wgas again, can you say circus? That said, we did get third place and a small check that covered today's expenses.

Great job maranda! And for those that don't know IH Parts America has jumped on the band wagon and is now an official sponsor of the lil pink Scout!

Btw - whats the name of your race team? Or do you consider yourself part of the International Harvester racing division or the IH heavy iron racing team? Just curious.

Thanks for your support Jeff!

IH heavy iron racing team is awesome, but we are part of the total destruction racing team

All the money we make from the events we sponsor goes back to the community. The money is used for all sorts of things, including fourth of July fireworks, scholorships, toys for kids at Christmas, little league uniforms, etc...

There is just a little over a week until the newport mud drags. There will be two IHSTO represented rigs racing, so come show your support.

I won't make the newport finale after all. Instead we'll be at powerland to man the front gate and parking lot earning buckage for the IHSTO treasure chest.

Technical difficulties all day Saturday, faulty ignition box, and a fender bender at the finish line. We did however get a third place trophy in the powder puff class. And no she didn't roll, another driver dented our passenger quarter panel. :yikes:

dboy tried his hand in the mud dragon, but technical difficulties plagued him as well. The front axle didn't seem to be in 4wd, I am not sure on why, maybe dboy or ss2 found the reason.

Pictures to follow soon...

It was our first time attending the mud drag. It was fun to watch. The kids loved cheering for pink Scout in the crowd favorite competition. Too bad luck wasn't on your side this time. Great weather for a good time! Thanks for letting us know about it. You already have tyson and I brewing ideas for possibly draggin' later.
