1976 SCOUT TRAVELER $1800 as is, REBUILD OR PART OUT

Located in scottsdale, az. All original 2nd owner, ran it to death, parked for years, last registered in Colorado in o3, clean title. Need to sell as is (not running)

have parts to make it run, ignition switch, and alternator, needs battery, convert to covertable, tailgate, tail lights, molding, grill, lift kit, etc… but that was 4 years ago, so it now needs the main seal rebuilt again.

This subforum is for listing IH vehicles for sale including sale price and vehicle location, as per forum rules. Your post is more of a query for advice than it is a classified ad, and as such would be more appropriately posted in the general tech subforum where it would likely garner more attention and answers.

Just my opinion here. If the vehicle is complete and in good overall condition, I think it would be a shame to part it out. You stand to make more money by selling individual parts, but it can take awhile to get everything sold. Ask yourself if you are willing to spend the time and effort stripping this thing down to a carcass, leaving yourself with an accumulation of random, loose parts for x amount of time. Ask yourself if you are willing to put up with the hassle of shipping large items to other locales. It's far easier in the long run to keep the vehicle intact and sell it as a whole. If you're willing to spend the time repairing items to get it running again, that will make it worth a little more. If not, you're selling a project in need of tlc that should be priced accordingly. You're not going to get Rich off the thing.

Thanks for the advise, I did now include an as-is price. I hate to let it go, I had dreams of returning it to... Well something else. But times have changed.
