Not sure if this is the place to post a truck for large dollars, but thought I'd give it a try. I'm the second owner of my scout and have owned it for 35 years. Known Jeff since the late 90's. So just the basics and some pics. I'll be happy to answer any questions folks have. This is not a frame off but a stock original with a pretty much complete restoration. It's been on a non op reg since June 2024 and off the road for the resto process. It's a 2 WD but has an np 205 transfer case attached to the 4 speed t18. The pics will tell the story and I have hundreds of them of the process. I'm looking to get in the 47K range. I listed it on bring a trailer and this was their assessment.
This 1975 International Harvester Scout II pickup was purchased by the seller in 1992 from the reported original owner, and subsequent work consisted of repainting it in Inferno Orange Pearl, removing and resealing the 304ci V8, rewiring the truck, overhauling the power steering system, and installing AutoMeter instrumentation, a Tuffy locking center console, aftermarket black cloth-covered bucket seats, Bilstein shocks, and black 15″ Vision D Window wheels. A four-speed manual transmission is equipped and additional items include a removable cab top, a Dana 44 rear axle, LED exterior lights, power front disc brakes, a Pioneer digital stereo, and Boss speakers. This Scout II is now offered with spare parts, service records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The truck was stripped and refinished in Inferno Orange Pearl under current ownership. Exterior details include a removable cab top, a bright front bumper, LED exterior lights, a vertical-slot grille, front vent windows, an aluminum fuel cap, a receiver hitch, a drop-down tailgate, and rear tow hooks. The seller notes that the driver door only locks from the inside and that the tumbler is missing.
Black 15″ Vision D wheels are mounted with 235/75 Hankook Kinergy tires, that are new
. The truck is equipped with power steering and it rides on Bilstein shocks, and stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. Work in 2025 is noted to have included overhauling the power steering system, rebuilding the Saginaw steering drive, installing stainless steel brake lines, and replacing the brake calipers, pads, and rotors.
The cabin houses aftermarket bucket seats trimmed in black cloth upholstery. Additional equipment includes a Tuffy locking center console, front lap belts, a heater and defroster, and a Pioneer digital stereo, and Boss audio speakers. Sound deadening material has been applied to the cabin.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts AutoMeter Sport-Comp instrumentation consisted of a 120-mph speedometer, tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, vacuum, oil pressure, battery volts, and fuel level. The five-digit replacement odometer shows 141 miles, which is said to represent mileage since the build was completed.
The 304ci V8 was removed and resealed in 2025 and additional work consisted of rewiring the truck, installing two ACT-style fuse panels, and replacing the battery, battery connectors, alternator, fuel pump, belts, and hoses.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Dana 44 rear axle. The rear axle was rebuilt and 3.07:1 gears were installed in 2006.
The truck is registered planned non-operation in the state of California. The title carries a duplicate notation. Bought in Texas in 1992 from the original owner.
