1975 International Harvester Scout II XLC - $2500

This vehicle is located in fayetteville, nc. If you are interested, shoot me a pm with your number or email and I will get in contact with you.

What it has:
345 v8, edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor (carburetor is missing the manual choke, so it doesn't like to idle when the engine is cold), 727 torqueflight auto trans (which was *completely* rebuilt as of June), Dana 20 transfer case, Dana 44 axles front and rear, disc brakes in front, 4" lift springs, rancho rs 5000 shocks, Skyjacker steering damper, 31" super swamper tires, cassette player, marine speakers front and rear, toyota truck seats in front, bench seat in back, interior is rhino lined (or equivalent). Has hard top and bikini top. Have camoflague seat covers, will come with truck. Floor panels were replaced by previous owner. Has a fresh oil change with filter, spark plugs and wires as of May.

Issues/what it needs:
desperately needs a new carburetor, valvetrain needs some adjustment, engine bay and dashboard should be rewired (only a few gauges work), hard top needs to be redone (has bad rust on the mount rails), rear quarter panels have holes in them (about fist-sized), it has one bad rust spot on the undercarriage (will have to point it out to you), needs brake job on the front end (mainly the driver's side).

*the Scout runs fairly well, but I would recommend you tow or trailer it to its destination as it does not have the power it should have, due to the carburetor and valvetrain issues*
I am open to discussing any offers.

That's transmission fluid. I'm pretty certain I overfilled the tranny. The guy who rebuilt it knows what he's doing. I didn't do anything that could have disturbed any seals, I didn't take the torque converter off to put the tranny back in.

The fluid is coming from where the bellhousing and the flywheel cover meet. It's a pretty slow drip, I look at it every couple days, but I haven't warmed it up again and driven it around to check the fluid, but the transmission works just fine. I drove it for an hour after I put it back in with no problems. Shifts smooth, no stalling.

I'll warm it up sometime this week and see what the dipstick says. But other than that I'm not sure what else I can do, I bolted the torque converter in like I was supposed to, etc.

The biggest issue is the carburetor, it just needs to be replaced.

Just an update, selling for $2500 now.

After taking a closer look at things, I found out that the donut that's supposed to be between the driver's side headers and the exhaust piping is completely gone. I'm assuming this contributes to the loss of power way more than probably anything else would.
