1974 1/2 IFS and axle onto 1967 1100b

I have as said above a 1967 1100b 2x4 and a complete fully assembled ifs front end and rear axle off a 74 1/2 ton. My plan is to graft the 74 running gear into the 67. My first question is had there been a build like this on here. My second question is what would be easier or better to try and mount the ifs components onto the existing frame or cut and paste the complete 74 frame and suspension to the old frame. Ask feed back will be appreciated. Thanks.
 
I can appreciate keeping things IH but of all the ifs front ends -- I wouldn't pick an IH to swap into anything. Maybe pick something more common with cheaper parts?

I do not think I have seen anyone do a swap like this. I'd also try and keep the '67 frame and stick the '74 stuff to it - that way you do not have to rebuild anything else while you are trying to sort out the rest of the front end.

Thanks for the input. I agree that it isn't any where near the best option but I was able to score it and the axle with springs and mounts for $150 and I really want to keep it as much IH as possible. I'm looking to make it a canyon carver our anything just lower it down and be something that hasn't been done a bunch of times.
 
Just becareful you don't end up building something with obsolete parts (like the brakes).

It would really be crappy to have to redesign part of it in 3 years when you need rotors or spindles or something...
