Sorry to see it go, but we are selling our 1973 Scout. It is a 4 speed manual transmission with a 304 v8 engine. Engine runs great.. We had a ton of work done on it, have all the papers. New brakes, new tie rods, new tires and rims, new drag link, all new hoses in the engine, new transfer case, 10k in body work alone-all rust holes on the outside were taken out and welded, primer and painted. The removal top was also completely re-done and painted white. Its has a 4 inch lift, I bought a Rough Country x lift kit and installed all new shocks and leaf springs.
Because its a 1973 you don't have to worry about getting it smogged. Probably the biggest bonus on the car. The only work that it needs done at this point is for someone to clean up the engine. It has the original International headers, very cool. It also needs new floor pans in the front passenger compartment. They go for about $80 a piece, plus installation if you don't know how to weld. The rear passenger compartments floor has been treated/protected and has new black carpet.
This Scout runs great, take it out driving almost every day, registered until November. Asking $9,500.
