1973 1210 Camper Special 4x4
392 V8 Increased Cooling
T-34 OD Manual Transmission (5 speed)
NP205 Transfer Case
4.10 Gears
Dual 16 Gallon Tanks
8' Bed
Factory A/C
5,000 lb springs w/aux
Factory tie rod protector
Custom Exterior Trim
Power Steering
Drum brakes
Dual Exhaust
This is a very nice CA truck that still has most of the original equipment. Truck runs, drives, and stops. The transmission shifts smoothly and the 4x4 works great. A/C system is complete but has not been gone through to make it functional again. Fans and heaters work. Custom lumber rack is included (needs new paint). Turned rear drums and installed new rear brake shoes, rear wheel cylinders, and rear brake hardware.
Things that are not original: H2 rims, bluetooth radio, Grant steering wheel, Reese receiver hitch and wiring, Holly 4BBL carburetor and aftermarket air cleaner. Probably some other small things here and there, too. I have a really nice, used steering wheel that's the right color. I'll include it if you want to go back to original. New water pump in box. No spare wheel.
Surface rust in bed, typical rust bellow windshield, some rust visible on the passenger side upper door pillar. There's a rust hole on the hood's bottom lip. The metallic green paint should buff up pretty nice, while the two-tone white could use a repaint, at least on the driver's side. All chrome trim is still there. Original bench seat could be reupholstered or given a new seat cover.
Due to the issues below, I would recommend it be towed home but that's up to you.
Known mechanical issues:
-I'm told it needs a valve adjusted since there's a small tapping noise when running
-The front right brake sometimes sticks after it's been parked for a while. The truck stops straight, though.
-The windshield has some fogging near the bottom corners and developed a crack. It should be replaced at some point
-Needs windshield wipers.
-Rearview mirror mount plastic is deteriorated
-Side mirrors could use new glass
-The block should be flushed and drained
-Registration is not current but there are no back fees
-Not insured
