1972 scout ii throwout bearing sleeve too small?

Hello everyone,
I've done quite a few Scout II clutch jobs and I have never run into this problem where the clutch will not engage with a rebuilt clutch/ pressure plate. I just assumed that what the previous owner had in there was all correct, but I'm getting the same exact problem that started this whole thing. Clutch pedal all the way to the floor doesn't engage the clutch enough to allow me to put in any gear. It will grind when wanting to shift. And if you don't put your foot on the brake, it will move, so obviously the clutch is not engaging. I originally thought I needed a new clutch so I had it rebuilt.....after installing it all again.....same problem. This happens with the rod adjusted all the way im or out. Do I have the wrong size throwout bearing collar? It's a T18 transmission 345 engine. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Sean

IIRC there are 3 different length sleeve lengths available. Do you still have the old sleeve to compare?

UPDATE: Wanted to close this out if anyone else has this issue. It wasn't the throwout bearing collar length that ended up being the issue. I took off the Clutch pedal rod completely and realized that the threaded rod part by the transmission had gotten bent and wouldn't let the pedal fully adjust. :mad2:
I replaced it with another rod I had laying around and now all is good.
