1972 1210 gas fills slowly

It takes me at least 10 minutes to fill my gas tanks. I have a 1972 1210, Travelette, 392, 4x4 with dual under cab tanks. I'm removing the tanks so I can swap the body bushings and hope to address the poor fueling while they are out. I have removed the passenger side tank. There is a large hose where the gas goes in, a medium hose connected to the overflow tank in the fender, and a small hose going to the tank selector valve. According to the manual I expected to see a vent hose returning to the top of the filler to making gassing up easier, and several vent lines going to the overflow canister. Would it be possible to add the filler vent? Any other ideas on how to speed this up?
