We recently took in on trade a 1971 Scout 800B with the amc 232 6cyl engine and 3-speed t90 transmission. After a little bit of work we got it driving by giving it a minor tune up, replacing the clutch cable and draining the fuel tank and putting in some fresh fuel. To say the least it runs decent for something that has been sitting for some five plus years but like anything that is 45 years old it still needs work.
The bad:
missing driver side fuel tank
missing under dash heater duct
rust on both left & right side kick panels
signs of bondo on body
has some electrical issues
wipers do not work
back fees of $543 owed to CA dmv(not a issue for out of state buyers)
specifications:
232 6cyl engine
t90 3 speed transmission
Dana 20 transfer case
Dana 30 front axle
Dana 44 rear axle
3.73 axle ratio
31" goodyear tires
roll cage
aftermarket alloy wheels
asking price: $3500
