Well the time has come to sell one project and move on to the next. I was hoping to keep this one, but I got a great deal on a t-all. Not to mention the house search and new baby...ect...
Info: 1971 800B "doll up Scout" minimal rust
IH 304 v8
bw 11 auto (shifts great)
Dana 30/44 with 3.73's and a power loc in rear
Dana 20 transfer case
new carb
rebuilt m/c
new electric fuel pump
new plugs, wires, cap, rotor.
New dual exhaust with dynomax turbo mufflers and gibson ss tips
custom 4" SUA alcan springs (ordered and picked them up myself)
d&c extended shackles
d&c custom fabbed hd semi-cross steer with flipcerts
new nitro shocks.
Back country binders extended dot approved break lines
new poly bushings throughout suspension
new grade 8 hardware
new u-bolts
BFG 33x 9.5 at's on stock steel wheels (less than 500mi on everything)
I’m sure there is some stuff I am forgetting. I set up this Scout for trails/camping/fun.
There are more pictures in my user gallery, and I have a ton of before/after I can email.
I also have a set of very clean axles (30/44), some new rockers, between the rails fuel tank, chrome valve covers, and some odds and ends.
Most of the major work is done, now its time to sort out the bugs. She needs the rear blinkers looked at, some new brakes (shoes are good on new axles). There is a whine, I can’t tell if it’s the axles or t-case, but once again there are the new axles, just in case. Currently registered and insured, but very seldom driven. She has never failed to start, even with a weak battery in cold weather. The Scout is at the in-laws place in Colorado springs, Colorado, for mapquest purposes. If I don’t sell her here I might list on ebay in a few weeks.
Price reduced !!! $4000.
