1970 800a Front Brake Rebuild

I'm stuck
I've just bought a 1970 Scout 800a and the front brakes came in a ziploc bag. I think I've got all the parts but the manual I've got doesn't show this long spring that was in the bag. It came with new wheel cylinders and push rods. I don't know how to id the axle.

The Scout has a Chevy 400 and an automatic transmission. Any help would be welcome.

She's in rough shape but I got high hopes for project oliva.

The long spring attaches to your kitchen screen door to close it automatically.

Some drums back in the day had those around the outside, located in a groove sort of inboard. Not sure about on scouts tho.
