1965 scout axle question

I have 65 Scout 80 with 152, 3sp with offset and Dana 27s . I was looking at Dana 30 and rear Dana 44 "center" axle that are for sale locally. But I was concerned about offset- some post say not a problem they bolt right up and other state differently. Is it worth swapping these axles and rehearing them? 27's seem to be weak link with this model

Anybody? Newbie needs help:rolleyes5:

It will work but you probably will have some driveshaft vibration due to the irregular angle. The rear driveshaft will need to be shortened as well since the snout of the Dana 44 is bigger than that of a Dana 27.
