1964 Travelall - Battery Cable Routing

Can anyone tell me (and/or provide me pictures) of how the positive & negative battery cables are supposed to be routed?

I just pulled my radiator and noticed that the positive cable is zip tied to the front frame! And there is a factory looking hose clamp, with a bolt hole, dangling from the cable; so where is the cable supposed to be routed and bolted to? And what is the proper routing for the negative cable?

What engine and transmission in your Travelall ??

My 67 w/345 5spd positive cable goes around back of engine
clipped to bellhousing bolts and on to starter , negative (braided flat cable) drops below batt box , center of cable has lug with bolt attached to box support , then continues to engine with bolt on power steering pump bracket ,

Great information! I have the 304cid and the 5 speed manual transmission. I would have never guessed the positive cable went around the back of the engine!

That is factory routing on every round body Travelall and pickup that I have ever owned.

Carl (or anybody) have you ever found an oem replacement for the negative cable , like the factory one with the extra ground lug midway in the cable ??
