I am located in the tahoe area. On the north shore.

I love this thing, but I am going to move on. I can';t seem to get it to run right and can't find a mech that I trust.

Very little surface rust-thats it.
Only dent that I poind were the size of a pen tip close to the driver side door handle.

Brand new upholstered seats. They look amazing.

The chrome is in excellent condition.

It has a top-not pictured.

The 152 engine fires right up, but it does not drive properly and I don't know why. Shifts smoothly.

BFG 31x10.5x15s with good tread.

New stereo.

Unless I find a decent mechanic soon...

$3,000 obo

the Scout is primered and almost ready for paint

I think I have seen your posting on Craig's list in the last few days. Since I'm in the market of possibly getting another Scout once insurance goes through.

Have ya considered contacting Jeff here at ihon. He's in Grass Valley and you're only a couple hours or so away from his shop.

Give him a call. Might be something simple.

Not to mention we have 2 of the premier mechanics in the IH community. It would be great to see you able to enjoy your hard work.

I sold the '63 and was really bummed. I talked with a distant cousin and he randomly knew a guy that was getting rid of his 71 800B. I swooped it up pretty cheap. Body needs a little work, but oh well.

I still need a mechanic. I told the buyer that I'd help him out. I dont really want to run this thing around everywhere. It will be going to reno for paint. If you know any mechanics in the reno area, that would be awesome. Otherwise Grass Valley was the next choice. I have to make some decisions quick. Snow is coming.

Ahhh - too bad on the sale.

For these ole scouts, a good place to start, with people who deal with these fine ole rigs on a regular basis, and only a few hours away from ya - ihon is a great place to start. Ihochad was hinting some good advice in his reply

other than that, shop around. There does seem to be a lot of IH owners up in that general area. Also, there is a lot of good info through out this forum that have helped me, and a lot of other people, out in the past.
