Hey all
New to the forum and new to IH.
I just purchased a 1962 IH Scout 80 with the stock 3 speed and wondered if a 4 soeed transmission from a 67 Scout would bolt right up or would I need to mod? TIA

I was told tou can convert it to a 4 speed but you have to get the transmission from a Scout 800 (196 engine). Tjr only modification you will need is to move the mounting brackets 4" back.
I will be converting my Scout 80 to a 4 speed as well.

Hi T-Willie....I can add a little more info to this as I am in the process of putting a transmission in my Scout project. (152, T18, D20)

What I have found so far is that the T90 3 speed has a different mounting pattern than a T18 or T19. So...you might need the correct bell housing with proper clutch disengagement method (hydraulic or mechanical). You may also run into an issue with driveshaft lengths when you start swapping components around. Nothing that can't be overcome....just something to be aware of.
