196, 4 speed, Dana 20

Selling the drive train from my 1967 800. It has the 196 engine, the Dana 20 and the t18 4 speed tranny.

Apparently the 196 is from a later year Scout 2, possibly 1975 but was fit into this truck so I have no idea on the actual milage of the engine.

The engine runs, but I do not have a carb for it anymore. I can turn it over and it will run for a few seconds if I spray some starter fluid in the intake. The oil pan is also dented some. The engine includes all of the accessories (less the carb) and the engine mounts.

The bellhousing will also include the clutch and the clutch linkage.

The Dana 20 is the twin stick type and includes both shift levers with knobs.

196 engine: $350
bellhousing: sold
t18 tranny: sold
Dana 20: $100

or will sell it all at once for $550. Located in pasco wa.

From about 1974 on the 196s were improved cooling because they were half of the improved cooling 392s. How you tell is that the water pipe goes into the block, not the head as for the rest of the v8s or 4s. There are pics on this forum that show how the inlet boss on the block should look.

Where are you located?

It appears that this would be "ic" then. The metal tube from the water pump goes into the engine block just below the cylinder head (see photo attached).

Pasco is in south eastern washington state.
