Located in Helena Montana, I have a forklift and can palletize for commercial freight shipping if needed.

I'm doing an ls3 swap this summer, gauging interest in the whole lump to someone doing a restoration. The truck runs and drives, original 6 volt system. 2wd

Sd240 inline 6
- engine is most likely a 240ci with a replacement block, see conversation below.

4 speed manual on the floor (t98 1p)
- shifts smooth, no weird noises or grinding

Big ole beefy driveshaft with an e brake

Rear axle is getting tired, pinion has play along with the outer bearings. Non lsd, gears are somewhere north of 4.xx

Front cross bar and steering can be included as well

Just gauging interest at this point, I don't want to pull anything until I have a serious buyer as I do drive the truck around from time to time.

The oil pans on 220's, 240's and 264's all have 220 stamped on them. Here's where to look to see what you have.

Hey thanks for that! I looked at mine and it has a single A stamped on it. Here's a picture of the door tag as well if that helps to ID the engine.

Pretty sure it's a replacement engine. General consensus seems to be that replacement blocks came unstamped so the installer could match numbers with the old ones. There may be a couple of clues though. If the manifold to exhaust pipe flange is 2-bolt, it's a 220. Early 220's and all of the 240's used a 3-bolt flange. Later 220's went to a smaller exhaust pipe and 2-bolt connection. You could also look at the front crankshaft pulley. 220's used a one-piece cast pulley. 240's and 264's used a 2-piece pulley with a rubber ring and large cast piece as a vibration damper. Which doesn't mean someone didn't change that as well, but might help.

Thanks for the info, I checked and it has both a 3 bolt manifold flange and a 2 piece crank pulley with a large damper. It also has the taller oil filter housing, if that's an indication of larger displacement?

Odometer says 83k miles, not sure if she rolled over.
