1920 to 1904 carb swap

I am having problems with my 1920 Holley carb on my 66 Scout with. 196. Is it possible to put a Holley 1904 off another Scout w/ a 196

Yes it is a fairly straight forward swaparoo.
Verify that the mounting flange on the 196/1904 is the same as your 1920. So long as you can make the throttle, fuel and, choke connections safely it should be ok.

I might ask why you think it is time to swap out the 1920. They are very capable units.....

What problems are you having. Forgive me if you have posted your problems already.

It is leaking out of the throttle lever & shaft assembly. Also there is a lot of play in it in the shaft too(which would explain the leak) it also appears that the lever broke off at one point and soldered back on incorrect.
