1920 off a dodge

I know it is possible to take a 1920 Holley carb off a early dodge. My question is what needs to be changed to make this work with a 196 engine. Also, the dodge carb seems to have more vacuum lines. What would I do with these?

You say early dodge, like a 225 slant six? 4 banger? Cold you be more specific?
Verify the obvious items like mounting holes etc.
Aside from the linkage it should run. How far off the jetting is will have to be seen. Might be spot on.

As for the extra vacuum ports. At least one will be the bowl vent that would otherwise go to the vapor recovery unit. It is going to be bigger like 1/4" +. Use the same ones as you use on your existing 1920 and block the others. See if it runs ok. If so your off and running.

Most of the early dodges I've worked on were up draft carbs. But that would be late 20's early 30's. You might need to rejet it, but I'm sure someone here can tell you what the stock jetting was for a 196.
