152 Valve train install question

I'm doing a valve job on a 1967 Scout 800 with a 152 engine. Does the cam need to be in a specific position when I install the valve train?

On a 196 the manual states that the leading edge of the pulley weight should be at the 0 degree Mark on the timing indicator before installing the valve train to the head.

On my 152 there appears to be pulley weights on opposing sides of the pulley, so I'm confused as to where the weights should be in relation to the timing indicator or if there is another method to correctly position the cam.

I suppose they have found that the pulley location they describe is the easiest position but from a mechanical perspective, the engine won't care one way or the other.

If you have removed the distributer and marked things, leave the crank where it is.

That is what I was thinking, but since it was in the manual I thought well, must be a reason. I haven't moved the crank, marked all the push rods, and the dizzy has not been moved, so I am going to install and not worry too much about it. Thanks for the quick reply.

Btw Robert, do you recommend sealant on the head bolts as well as the vt bolts?

Sealant on the vt (rocker assembly) bolts that go through to the intake runners. The head bolts on these IH's are blind so they only need some light coating of moly grease or antiseize to ensure they pull up smoothly. Be carfyll not to put to much on the head bolts as it can collect at the deck and move out under the head gasket. That is not good. I apply it thread deep to the first 3/8 of the threads.
Some intake manifold bolts I remember going through so they should get some sealant as well.
