1969 Scout 800A clutch help

I am restoring a 1969 Scout 800A Aristocrat, with an AMC 232. I purchased the project were most of the parts had been taken off the Scout and put it boxes. I have been fighting a clutch issue for three months. It has a cable, which is different from my other three Scouts. I have replaced the cable, rebuild the arm that attached to the frame with new bushing and checked for worn parts. All looks good. I sent the clutch out and pressure plate out and had it rebuilt. I am wondering if I may have the wrong clutch and pressure plate. The only way to get the clutch to disengage, is to adjust the linkage arm all the way in, but there is no space between the throw out bearing and pressure plates forks. The clutch is very hard to press. I attached some pictures for reference. Thanks for any help.

Didnt we get you to see if the short collar throw out bearing is what you needed? You never replied to us at binderplanet after the last go round when you changed clutch disk.

I thought I replied. The short collar made it worse. I think it is the wrong pressure plate or something is out of adjustment on the rod that holds the throw out bearing that goes through the bellhousing. It looks right to me. I was hoping that someone from IH Parts American would see the post and may be able to see if the pressure plate looks right. They sell new clutches.

Yes, hopefully.

Not too many of the guys on Binderplanet have late model Scout 800s with manuals. Most of us are more familar with the clutch rod linkage set up from Scout II's.

Well, for starters, your clutch shop installed all the clutch springs in the pressure plate. That will make it hard to press the clutch in. It should be 9 springs, not 12 for a 232. The clutch fingers were set and staked too far back when they rebuilt it.

Thank you. I sent it to Fort Wayne Clutch to have it rebuilt, but in their defense it may have been like that when I sent it. This clutch was removed when I got the project and who knows what it came off of.
