I am restoring a 1969 Scout 800A Aristocrat, with an AMC 232. I purchased the project were most of the parts had been taken off the Scout and put it boxes. I have been fighting a clutch issue for three months. It has a cable, which is different from my other three Scouts. I have replaced the cable, rebuild the arm that attached to the frame with new bushing and checked for worn parts. All looks good. I sent the clutch out and pressure plate out and had it rebuilt. I am wondering if I may have the wrong clutch and pressure plate. The only way to get the clutch to disengage, is to adjust the linkage arm all the way in, but there is no space between the throw out bearing and pressure plates forks. The clutch is very hard to press. I attached some pictures for reference. Thanks for any help.
