72 1210 304 fuel pump

The attached photo shows the original pump on bottom and new one on top. Will it work? That seems to be the only one that comes in when I order one(MF0058), even though the photo looks like the original pump.
I know there is one on on this site as well but shipping is killer.

Looks like it will work, as long as the pump doesn't hit the frame.

Yes, that is the issue.

I just tried the Delphi MF0058 on a 345 and it ran for about 30 min then broke. It ground a slight dish in the arm and the pump broke internally. Guess it could just be a cheap, faulty pump out of the box? Put the stock one back in and it’s been fine. Gonna try a Carter M6959 and hope it’s the shorter arm style like stock.

The Delphi was the one I broke as well. I’ll try to find the Carter part number.
I should have known something was wrong with the Delphi when it didn’t bolt in easy.
I didn’t think I’d ever get it mounted, actually took 2 of us! I thought it was just a tight spring.

Yeah, I knew it was a red flag when it was so hard to put in. But I swear I’ve successfully installed one of the longer arm pumps into one of my Scouts at some point cause that’s all the parts stores list.
